Success stories
Juanito
Despite the fact that I had to push pause on his training just a couple of months after my first ride on him due to an old injury acting up, I consider Juanito my biggest success. He was a skittish, shutdown horse when I met him and avoided human contact. Now he's enthusiastic to work and hang out. He loves cuddles!
Gitano
My first teaching partner! Gitano is a former 'escaramuza' horse whom I reconditioned as a lesson horse. He housed a lot of tension in his body and facial expression, though he remained friendly towards humans. Sadly, my time with him was not enough to fully 'fix' him, but the changes in his willingness to work and biomechanics were quite noticeable.
London
Originally trained as a show jumper and later used to teach polo, London has been living in Paulownias Ecuestre for about 5 years, not really doing much until I began working with him. He moved in a completely inverted frame, his facial expression was permanently tense, he took any chance he got to bolt back to his paddock, he did not allow children near him, and he tried to bite when being saddled. After getting a veterinary physiotherapist to rule out physical issues, I began working with him and the changes in his disposition were almost immediate. Today, he is my star lesson horse whom I trust entirely with even my smallest student! He is ridden in a bitless bridle (and sometimes without a bridle!), his body posture has improved a lot, and he can be saddled at liberty without any issues. London is always enthusiastic to train!
